G3 : The Next Superphone from LG to be launched in May

LG G3

South Korean Electronics giant LG is reportedly planning to launch the company's 2013 flagship phone G2's successor in mid-May this year.
Korean media house Asiae, citing industry sources, claims LG would unveil the new 2014 marquee phone on 17 May.

The G3's mid may launch seems too early as the predecessor G2 was launched in August 2013. Experts think that the launch date was chosen to target Samsung's galaxy S5. We think the competition will be neck to neck as LG has been making some good devices lately.

We have also heard that G3 will be powered by the new ODIN octa core processor, which would make the device a hercules in the smartphone world. The G3 will be a 5.5 inch device with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. Also the rear-facing camera may be 16 megapixels with optical image stabilization (OIS).

The same reports also claim that LG plans to unveil another flagship-material droid at the MWC event in Barcelona.

Stay tuned for more updates regarding LG's upcoming phones for this year.
