The latest Scroogled Accusation.

What is Scroogled?
The campaign has been based upon the premise that Google is stealing data from innocent users by monitoring their activities within the company’s web browser, Chrome, as well as services including Gmail and Search. Microsoft has also pointed out that Google embeds ads within their own search results and even attempts to disguise advertisements in your inbox as ordinary emails.

Microsoft's biggest beef is centered on Google Shopping. As the fine print indicates on Google's product search engine, many results are sponsored. In Microsoft's eyes, this effectively hurts users who are looking for honest search results.

In one of its TV spots, Microsoft provides the following definition:
"Scroogled [skr-oo-gulld], verb. 1. The new Google practice of selling their shopping search results to a high bidder."
Microsoft Doesn't Stop at that:
In a recent move, microsoft has targeted chromebook from google, which is basically a netbook based on chrome OS. It has roped in the T.V show hosts from "Pawn Stars" for the campaign. The video shows the guys from the gold and silver Pawn shop rejecting the chrome book because it is no good.

On the Scroogled website microsoft lists all the cons of the chromebook and why you should stay away from it. Microsoft stresses on the point that chromebook is peice of junk, if disconnected from the web. It is true though. Chromebook cannot do even some basic tasks without being connected to the internet.

The Redmond software giant is going all out here by not only dedicating a website to calling Google out for various privacy shenanigans, but also selling a line of Scroogled products, including coffee mugs, hoodies, hats, and t-shirts.

Scroogled Merchandise
"Keep calm while we steal your data" is the tagline found beneath Google's Chrome logo on some of the Scroogled products up for sale.

Google's Reaction:
"Microsoft's latest venture comes as no surprise; competition in the wearables space really is heating up", Said Google's press release. This was one witty answer, calling the t-shirts and hoodies as wearables and the only thing Microsoft could come up as a direct competition to google glasses.

Microsoft isn't necessarily wrong with some of its claims against Google, but it understood the hard way that you will end up burning your hands when you play with fire.
