Even today in the age of Xboxes and Playstations NES stands apart. It is probably the most loved gaming console of all the times. The credit goes to the gaming titles that were released for NES. Developers did not have much to work with back then. Even tiny animations were resource consuming. Hence it was left only for the inside of the game. The start screens were mostly static but they contained the most elaborate and memorable artwork in them. Not to forget the music. I mean even 15-20 years later, the music of Super Mario or Contra is still embedded in our minds.

NicksplosionFX has created a tribute video for NES start screens. He claims that he has covered all the games. Some seem missing but nevertheless it is an impressive effort by him to create this almost 3 hour long video. If you love the NES, do take your time out to watch this gem of a video.
