The most addictive DOPE on the Market - Its a bird.

Start Screen
How good can a game be, that is played with a single finger. Well if you consider the download stats of Flappy Bird, it sure can be insane. The most popular app on the app store, Flappy Bird, is an infinite moving game, where you control a bird with a tap on the screen. Touching the screen makes the bird go up, leaving it makes it come down. You have to dodge the pipes, and for every pipe you dodge you get a point. Ok, by now you must be thinking, what's so special in that?

The main reason why this game is rocking the market is because it is hopelessly addictive. The game difficulty is extreme, right from the beginning and you have a feeling to have a go at it again and again. We played the game for almost an hour and the best we could do was 20 pipes.

The gameplay

The next selling point of the game are the graphics. Straight out of the Nintendo world, the pipes are strikingly similar to the ones in Super Mario. The bird itself looks like it has been inspired from the flying fish, from the last stages of Mario. All in all the retro look gives the game an edge. The developers have done a great job achieving success, with not much work to do in the design department.

Flappy Bird is free, but it is ad-supported. The ads are irritating and appear as popup banners on the top and bottom of the screen and sometimes block the edges of the pipes themselves. It is annoying and obstructive in the Gameplay. Considering the excellence of the game, we will forgive the developers for the annoying ads.

You might get bugged after prolonged game sessions but this game is definitely worth a try. This game is a perfect example, that you don't need flashy graphics, intense gameplay and a huge development team to succeed in the smartphone gaming industry.
